LA Surf & Swim nominated for MOMMY POPPINS
2016 “BEST PLACE TO LEARN HOW TO SWIM”
LA Surf & Swim featured in Mommy Poppins Water Safety article:
Today Rory Gookin made her first JO [Junior Olympics] cut in the 50 Free. The girls (Rory and Megan) have moved from TSM to Alpha, a great team with great coaches. They are feeling good about their swimming again. Don't fret. They have also rediscovered their love of the ocean. You taught them well. Other swim parents comment on their great ocean skills. I even have a feeling that Rory may someday venture into the open water arena.
Thank you for the love of the sport you instilled in the girls.
We have been going for a year now, my boys are 4 1/2, my girl is 2 1/2
The instructors are great, they have lot of patience and my kids are learning how to swim, go underwater and dive in a relaxed and happy place.
My kids do 1 to 1 with the instructor and is only 3 of them in the pool, so I do not understand how people complained about having too many kids in the pool.
I had to make up class at least 4 times and they rescheduled me with no problem, I had to wait maybe few weeks, but again i wanted them to be in the same time slot, and its not easy with 3 kids.
Billing is great, never had a problem so far, and also communication is easy, you e mail them and they soon answer you.
Parking , i have no problem on wednesday, there is always parking in the street, is a residential area, not busy street at all.
Only negative is that because they are so good, people do not leave ( we had the same slot in the schedule for more than a year) so if you have to change slot for any reason, its going to be hard to find one available, and the reason is because people like them and they do not go to a different place, with 3 kids its even harder.
We met several instructor and i have nothing bad to say about them, they sincerely like teaching to the kids and enjoy watching them progress.
I was referred by another mom, and she has both kids there too.
LA Surf and Swim is the best kept secret in Los Angeles. The coaches are fun and skilled with kids of all ages and ability levels. There is a clear program of levels that illustrates the progression of water safety and swimming competency, so you know where your child is and what they are learning each week. There are plenty of weekend and late afternoon sessions to accommodate working parent schedules, and their make up policy is also convenient. Above all, my daughter loves her lesson, looks forward to her visit each week, and is making great gains in learning to swim independently.
Coach Syd is awesome!!! Coach Syd and his LA Surf & Swim team have taught both of my children to swim starting at age 3 and now has taught both my now 9 year old daughter and me to surf. As parents, we are lucky to have Syd's influence in our children's lives. Thanks Syd!!
I have two children currently in swim lessons, one advance and one very nervous, each and every coach has a tremendous amount of patience, experience, professionalism, friendliness, and flexibility to teach either of them. The coaches are all A+ and all deserve gold medals for the skills, they never give up and never behave anything more than fabulous! we always leave our lessons happy 🙂 these coaches are teaching my kids a skill that will keep them safe, I know my kids are in very safe hands, as a parent its so reassuring. Best swim coaches in LA! They make me want to take a lesson myself! THANK YOU LA SURF & SWIM
OK...seriously!!! That evening exceeded my expectations [paddle fork&spoon]! Exactly what I was hoping for- laughs, fun, something totally different, and everyone had a blast! My friend is doing fine, says it's her wake up call to get back in shape and I'm sure we will be laughing soon.
You guys rock! Already have friends asking about your business - so hoping to send more paddlers your way.
Many thanks for a night to remember!
